Bernard de Launoit, CEO and Executive Chairman of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, and one of the founding members, alongside the Festival d’Aix, of the enoa network, passed away on Thursday 23 March.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of Bernard de Launoit on Thursday 23 March.

CEO and Executive Chairman of the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel for nearly 20 years, he was passionate about classical music and intent on sharing his knowledge, expertise and experience with the young singers and musicians of his institution. He was also one of the first members of the enoa network and helped shape its very foundation.
His commitment, enthusiasm and tenacity contributed to the success of his institution, which was profoundly transformed during his chairmanship, and to the development of the enoa network through the projects and young artists he supported. We will also remember his zest for life, his humour and his humanity, which he so generously shared with others.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues; and we assure them of our friendship and our support.
Bernard will be greatly missed.

Pierre Audi and all teams of the Festival d’Aix and of enoa.
