The Gharbi Twins are in fact a trio of strings – oud, violin, qanun – formed by two twins and a cousin, sons and nephew of a major figure in Tunisian classical music. Though they are considered as real stars in the Maghreb and the Middle East, they have only rarely performed in Europe. As ambassadors of the musical traditions of a country where learning and composing are also a family affair, they are keen to pass them on – together with their energy, serenity, and taste for harmony.
