With the ductility of his singing and the refinement of his interpretation, Christian Gerhaher, this year’s Wozzeck, has established himself as one of the finest Liedersänger of our time. Together with the pianist Gerold Huber, he has produced a complete set of Schumann's works that is considered a reference. The programme of this initiatory recital is conceived as a counterpoint to Berg's opera, from which he draws many motifs – from the soldier in the moonlight, to betrayed love and madness.
