Join the Opera ON programme to explore the operas of this edition throughout the year and to experience the Festival next summer under exceptional conditions!

This programme, open to 18-to-30-year-olds, is aimed at opera enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike. Throughout the year, as the 78th edition of the Festival is being prepared, you will discover the world of opera through a series of free opera-aperitif events. Then in July, unforgettable summer nights await you at unbeatable prices and in exceptional conditions: €10 for an opera in a top category, and €8 for a concert!

  • Tuesday 27 January – On stage at the Théâtre de l’Archevêché, 7 PM

PRESENTATION OF THE 2026 FESTIVAL
Come discover the programme of the 2026 Festival d’Aix-en-Provence on the stage of the Théâtre de l’Archevêché, the Festival’s iconic venue! During this event, which will be moderated by students from Sciences Po Aix, Timothée Picard, dramaturge and artistic adviser of the Festival, will present the operas and concerts that you’ll be able to enjoy during the Festival in July. With the participation of the EV'AMU vocal ensemble, performing a musical surprise, and followed by a drinks reception.

  • Thursday 12 March – Conservatoire d’Aix, 7 PM

OPERA APERITIF AROUND MOZART’S REQUIEM
This friendly evening event, centred around Romeo Castellucci’s production of Mozart’s Requiem, will feature Festival dramaturge Anne Le Berre and an artist or professional from the world of opera. The evening will be interspersed with musical performances by students and teachers from the Conservatoire d’Aix, and followed by a drinks reception.

  • Thursday 26 March – La Manufacture amphitheatre, 7 PM

OPERA APERITIF AROUND MOZART’S THE MAGIC FLUTE
With Festival dramaturge Anne Le Berre and an artist or professional from the world of opera. Students from ECV (École de Création Visuelle) Aix-en-Provence will participate in this evening event, alongside actors from the Compagnie d’entraînement (training company) of the Théâtre des Ateliers and Samuel Lachmanowits, an actor and the creator of a short object-theatre version of The Magic Flute. The event will be followed by a drinks reception.

  • Thursday 9 April – Le Repère Étudiant, 6 PM

OPERA APERITIF – AN EVENING OF ARTISTIC WORKSHOPS
An evening of artistic workshops (singing, theatre, graphic arts, etc.) built around the operas of the 2026 programme.

  • Thursday 21 May – Musée Granet

OPERA APERITIF AROUND R. STRAUSS’S THE WOMAN WITHOUT A SHADOW
One of the Festival’s dramaturges will speak with Barrie Kosky about his new Festival production, The Woman without a Shadow. With the participation of students from IESM. The event will be followed by a drinks reception.
