From a sacred forest to a storm-tossed ship, the works presented at the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence conjure up the deepest of emotions and reveal the power of art as a refuge. Thanks as well to you, the festivalgoers, for your loyalty and enthusiasm! From 4 to 21 July 2025, nearly 64,000 of you came to applaud our 5 opera productions, including two world premieres; 2 concert-versions of operas; 12 concerts; and the 38 events during Aix en juin. The 2025 Festival d’Aix featured 27 Préludes to performances, 6 Midis du Festival, 14 Tête-à-têtes with the artists and 3 professional group events. See you again from 2 to 21 July 2026 for the next edition of the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence!

In celebration of the prestigious Birgit Nilsson Prize 2025 awarded to the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, the Birgit Nilsson Stiftelsen and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence organised a special evening on Monday 7th of July at the Jardin Campra with Susanne Rydén, President of the Foundation, and Bernard Foccroulle, advisor for the 2025 edition in the presence of many guests. On this occasion, Paul Hermelin, Chairman of the Board of the Aix Festival, and Sophie Joissains, Mayor of Aix-en-Provence, reiterated the honor of receiving this award, which will be officially presented to them on October 21, 2025, by His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf at the Konserthuset in Stockholm.
