Unfortunately, Ailyn Pérez must withdraw from her recital scheduled for this Friday, 17 July, at 7 P.M. at the Conservatoire Darius Milhaud, for personal reasons. The mezzo-soprano Beth Taylor — who dazzled Aix audiences with the intensity of her performance in the solo alto part of Requiem, revived this summer at the Théâtre de l’Archevêché — has agreed to perform on Friday instead, still accompanied by Julius Drake.

They will be offering a programme of nineteenth- and twentieth-century French mélodies and Lieder that gives voice to powerful women, whether as composers, poets or performers.
