Festival d'Aix

Thank you all!

We are very glad to have shared with you this 67th Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, which ended on this 21st of July with the closing concert of the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra of the Festival d’Aix and its tour in Marseilles, Avignon and El-Jem in Tunisia.

This edition has welcome nearly 80,000 spectators with no less than 6 operas and lyrical productions, 38 concerts, 58 symposiums, conferences and professional meetings, 60 concerts, conferences and master classes of the Académie and 54 manifestations of the Festival d’Aix in June.

Very present over the air waves and online, all the operas of this edition have been broadcasted on Arte, France Télévisions, Mezzo, Arte Concert, Culture Box, The Opera Platform, France Musique and France Inter. A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Svadba and Alcina have been projected on wide screen in 31 cities in France and abroad. Finally, the concert of the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra has been broadcasted live on YouTube.

Elektra wins the Gramophone Award 2015

The 2015 Gramophone Awards have just rewarded the DVD of Elektra for best opera recording. Created at the Festival d'Aix 2013, this outstanding show by the late Patrice Chéreau has won many prizes and goes on touring around the world with great success.
