No auditions for Orphée aux Enfers by Jacques Offenbach: the casting has been completed.

Auditions in two steps

After a pre-selection in the towns listed below, a few artists will be invited to audition again in February in Paris before the final results are announced in February 2009.

1. Selection auditions by Mrs Wagner-Pasquier:

Amsterdam
– Nieuwe Opera Academie –November 17th 
New York – private studio – November 28th
Berlin - Staatsoper Berlin – December 2nd
Vienna - Wiener Staatsoper -December 3rd
Madrid
- Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía – December 4th
Copenhagen - Royal Opera Academy – December 5th
Lyon- CNSMD – December 9th
Paris – CNSMDP- December 10th and 11th
Helsinki- Sibelius Academy – December 15th
Stockholm – Operahögskolan - December 16th
London – The Warehouse- December 18th and 19th

*auditions organized for singers from the music schools of these cities: no application for these

NB:  the travel and accommodation fees for the auditions are to be paid for by the applicants.

2. Final Auditions:
Paris: Final auditions on February 3rd, 2009
(The Festival will pay part of the travel and accommodation expenses)


Program:


Residency Mozart/ Haydn

The candidates chosen for the auditions will have to present two pieces:
1) a Mozart aria
2) a Lied
NB: one of the two pieces must be in German

The singers who are applying for both residencies must prepare the two programs.
